Shane grew up in central Illinois and met his wife at college in southwest Missouri. After graduating with a B.S. in Education and getting married in 2000, Shane taught high school and coached basketball for four years before transitioning into full time ministry. He has been a pastor in the local church for the last 16 years doing counseling and ministry most recently at a church in the Tampa area.
Shane received his Masters of Divinity in 2010 from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY where he began his training in Biblical Counseling. He is currently in the process of finishing his Doctorate in Biblical Counseling from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary as well. His passion for biblical counseling grew out of the abundant suffering and distress that he has experienced in life through which the Lord has brought great comfort and hope by the gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of his Word. Shane desires to walk alongside others in the midst of their trials and sin so they too may experience the transformational work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In his free time Shane loves to spend time with his wife and four children at the beach or park, going on bike rides, and playing basketball at the local courts.
