Jason currently lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and daughters. They are members at Del Ray Baptist Church and enjoy serving in their community group. Jason received a BA in Education from the University of Alberta, Canada, and after graduating he spent two years teaching at a Christian school outside of Bangkok, Thailand. It was during his time teaching that he began exploring counseling as a future career, and met his wife, Lauren.
Upon moving Stateside and getting married, the Englers moved to Virginia and Jason earned a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. During his program he completed an internship at an addiction center, as well as a counseling internship and class at his church, and it is there he grew in his passion for biblical counseling. He believes that true freedom comes only from the application of God’s word and the gospel to people’s hearts, through the work of the Holy Spirit. He has personally benefited from biblical counseling and is passionate about seeing others experience the same healing and growth. In his spare time Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, playing board games and the guitar, and practicing martial arts.
