Samantha recently moved to Gastonia, North Carolina, after 8 years in the Czech Republic as a church planter with the International Mission Board. It was her time on the mission field that first led her to pursue biblical counseling, as she was surrounded by people walking through the heavy stuff of life without the hope of Christ. In 2023, she began taking classes at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation and is now in her final semester at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, pursuing her M.A. in Biblical Counseling. The further she has gone in her studies and in walking alongside others, the more she has come to the conclusion that there is no better pursuit or joy to which she would rather give her life than bringing the life, hope, and satisfaction of Jesus and his Word into the darkness of life in a fallen world.
She is passionate about helping those who feel an acute homesickness for a world free of sorrow and sin find hope that the way things are right now is not how they will always be.
In her free time, she loves being outdoors with her golden retriever, climbing, and spending quality time with good friends over a cup of coffee or a basket of laundry.
