Jen became a Christian through the college ministry of Campus Outreach and had the privilege of serving with them for seven years in South Carolina and Minnesota. Realizing students were facing more and more challenges than she knew how to help with, she left campus ministry to pursue a counseling degree at Westminster and CCEF. There she met her husband, James, in the library! They now live in Chattanooga, TN with their two children, Nathan and Eden. Since starting a family, Jen has worked as a counselor and missionary, homeschooled her children, and started a small business where she helps seniors find the right senior living housing.
Jen received a B.A. in Business Administration at Furman University and her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in conjunction with Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF).
2 Thessalonians 5:8 sums up her vision for counseling, ministry, family, and friendship: “Being affectionately desirous of you, we were eager to share not only the gospel with you, but our very selves.” She loves getting to know people and forming deep connections over their journey to know God deeper and walking with them through the twists and turns of life.
Jen loves spending time with her family and any opportunity she gets to be on the water or in the woods. She loves to read, nature journal, and keep up with old friends. She has a heart for seniors, single women, young moms, college students, and anyone struggling with the overwhelm of life, particularly with anxiety and depression, life transitions, or grief.
Jen and James share a heart to walk alongside couples, together, in marriage counseling sessions. To meet with both James and Jen for marriage counseling, please visit their shared page.
