James & Jen Schaefer

Jen and James live in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and share a heart to walk alongside couples in marriage counseling sessions. This relational work of faith aims at hearts being encouraged and knit together in love to reach Christ (Colossians 2:1-2).

Since starting a family, Jen has worked as a counselor and missionary, homeschooled her children, and started a small business where she helps seniors find housing. Jen received a B.A. in Business Administration at Furman University and her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary in conjunction with Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF).

After graduating from Covenant Theological Seminary with an MDiv, James worked for ten years at a global non-profit as a theologian and a design facilitator, helping churches make breakthroughs in ministering the gospel to children and youth.

Jen and James have two children. As a family, they laugh a lot at the antics of their clown-in-residence Chester, aka, the family dog. Jen loves reading, nature journaling, and keeping up with old friends. James loves hiking and teaching outdoor painting classes, learning to listen to the message that Creation is speaking without words.
