Shelby Maddox

Shelby was born, raised, and currently lives in Enid, Oklahoma with his wife, Hailey, and their three beautiful sons, Cooper, Hudson, and Owen. While in college God saved him and led him to Edmond, Oklahoma to complete his university studies at the University of Central Oklahoma which is also where he met his wife. During this time Shelby felt a strong desire to pursue vocational ministry which led them to Louisville, Kentucky. It was during this time that Shelby began to pursue Biblical Counseling. In 2020, Shelby received his Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Since then, Shelby has served his local churches in both Kentucky and Oklahoma in various capacities. Over the past 9 years in whatever capacity, he has had a heart to enter into people’s brokenness in order to give them the hope of the gospel through God’s word. Most recently he has served as a hospice chaplain, bringing the gospel to dying patients while helping families in their grief.

One of the greatest joys Shelby has in life is spending time with his wife and sons. He also loves his local church, Sojourn Enid. He serves in the Student Ministry along with leading the music. If you want to know a fun fact, ask him about being a male cheerleader in college!
